WE ARE HOME!!!!!

HOORAY, we made it back to our house. JB arrived home around noon on tuesday. We were all so excited for him to come home. I had slept at home that night. So I hurried and got ready and went up to the hospital. Brett was with him and waiting. JB, was very hesitant at first about coming home. He wanted to stay and he didn't understand how he would come home hooked up to all the machines. We explained that he would be able to take most of them off. (He is on oxygen, but he keeps taking it off complaining that it tickles his nose.) He had a smile that went from ear to ear. MK was so excited to see him. She ran up to him and patted his legs. So the past two days have been getting back into our routine. JB is walking a little and refuses to be moved because of the pain. We do make him walk and it's like we are teaching him all over again. He just hangs out and teases me and MK. I am trying to figure out different ways to entertain him. It is very hard. I think I might start with learning more about ABC's and 123's.
I need to go back to Monday because I didn't get to talk about that day.
So Monday, Oct. 5,09.......... JB woke me up around 5 so I sat in the rockingchair next to him. They came in and drew labs, took him to xrays, and weighed him. I don't get why they bug them so early in the morning. The Dr.'s came in and decided that they wanted to do and echo on his heart and told me that he couldn't go home until they figured out his oxygen. Brett and MK came up around 10 I was glad to take a break. MK and I went and got a few things and walked around the hall. We made JB go for a ride down to the cafeteria to have lunch. He was very mad he didn't want to be moved. I brought Mk home for a nap that afternoon. I enjoyed the break. When we got back to the hospital I went with JB down to the cardiology department for the echo. HE thought it was pretty neat to see his heart on the computer screen. Brett had to go to a school meeting so I was left with both of the kids. CRAZY!!!!! I couldn't go anywhere cause JB would cry and MK would cry cause she couldn't go anywhere. I was going crazy. around 9 I was starting to bug Brett asking him when he would be back and in walked grandma lou and papa jess. They saved my life. Both of the kids were so excited to see them and everyone started to calm down. We ate dinner and lou got JB to eat. around 1030 they took MK home to sleep and I waited for Brett. It was forever.... JB was having a hard night and I couldn't leave his side. Finally Brett got there. I came home and enjoyed a good nights sleep.. So i need to say Welcome home JB..... You are the most amazing kid I know and I am so honored to be your mom.... I love you.
